denominado San Mart\u00edn en su secci\u00f3n argentina, que alcanza una superficie de 1.013 km<sup>2<\/sup>, de los cuales 554 km<sup>2<\/sup> corresponden a territorio chileno.\u00a0 Se localiza 4 km al sur de Villa O\u2019Higgins (7 km es la distancia desde la Villa hasta el embarcadero del lago).\u00a0 El O\u2019Higgins cuenta con el record del lago m\u00e1s profundo de Am\u00e9rica y el quinto a nivel mundial, con su fosa de 863 metros, por lo que considerando que su superficie se encuentra 255 m.s.n.m., entonces se desarrolla hasta a 608 m bajo el mar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El lago O\u2019Higgins permite acceder al glaciar hom\u00f3nimo y constituye a la vez la conexi\u00f3n entre Chile y Argentina uniendo con navegaci\u00f3n lacustre los caminos que van desde Villa O\u2019Higgins hasta El Chalt\u00e9n, por la ruta entre Puerto Bahamondez y Candelario Mancilla.\u00a0 Tanto en los alrededores del lago como en la Isla Central, se encuentran incipientes ofertas de turismo rural, el que cuenta con el contexto paisaj\u00edstico de las cumbres de los Andes Patag\u00f3nicos y los Campos de Hielo.<\/p>\n<\/li><!-- -->\n<li class=\"g1-column g1-two-fifth g1-valign-top\">\n<div id=\"g1-html-rotator-counter-1\" class=\"g1-html-rotator  g1-autoplay\" data-g1-rotate-items=\"1\" data-g1-timeout=\"3000\"><div class=\"g1-carousel-content\"><ul
